My backpack is packed, with just enough room left for food and water. It weighs more than I expected, but I should get used to it – or throw things out along the way.
My job is quit, all unnecessary contracts are cancelled, the docs did all the checkups and fixings they could to my aging body, and I said Good Bye to everyone I know and love.
I am ready.
One last look back at my apartment over my beautiful wild garden and off I go – into the world, into the wild.
